General Experience

I am a member of the Network Theatre company and also belong to one of the civil service drama groups (Carlton Players)and have performed in numerous and varied productions at the Network theatre during the last 6 years. I have performed a cabaret turn as part of the Platinum Anniversary (70 years)gala celebrations of the Network Theatre's existence, in October '09. I am currently performing in the Old Vic production of 'Platform' which is an ambitious community acting project taking place in the Old Vic Tunnels in Waterloo, London.

I recently completed a photo/videoshoot for Channel 4 to launch their new website promoting Gok Wan programme(s) -launched end of June early July 2010).

I have recently completed a modelling shoot with Neil Raja (neilraja.com)and have been lined up for further modelling work for Asian bridal wear magazine.

I completed a Theatre studies course at Kensington & Chelsea college about 3 years ago. I took singing classes at Morley college last year.

May 2010 - Performed in 'Time for love' by Rosie De Vekey - played Mona Lisa and ensemble.

April 2010 - Performed role of WW2 ammunitions worker & ensemble in 'A Night in London' written by Bernie Byrnes (Kipper Tie productions) at the Network theatre.

December 2009-January 2010 - Performed in the 'Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens, at the Southwark Playhouse Theatre

December 2009 - Performed in the musical version of 'Pickwick' by Charles Dickens, with the Inperial theatre company.

October 2009 - Played the role of Asian mother in a short Student film entitled 'Glass Bricks'.

October 2009 - performed in Network theatre's 70th (Platinum) Gala celebrations. Did a parody of 'My favourite things' by Julie Andrews...dressed up as a little old lady, followed by singing 'Hey Big Spender' from Sweet Charity,which required some seductive moves!

August 2009 - a little bit of role playing and dancing in a Bollywood shoot. Movie entitled "Housefull" due to be released Spring 2010.

July 2009 - cast as 'Cobweb' in Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare. Role involved lots of dancing and singing a solo.

April 2009 - entered into the Civil Service National Drama One-act plays competition which took place in Plymouth. The play entitled "Squatters" by David Gray - was a devised piece that came into being following workshops by the actors and developing their characters as a result. My character is called Ursula - a very dodgy 'pet astrologer'!

February 2009 - played the role of 'Frieda' in the musical version of 'You're a Good Man Charlie Brown' by Schulz. The role involved some acting as well as singing and dancing to at least 7 of the 11 songs in the show.

October 2008 - performed in 'Dick Lothario goes tits up' by Kirsty Eyre, at Cafe de Paris in Leicester Square. This is a new piece of comedy writing and my role was of Secretary/love interest to Dick.

July 2008 - performed in "IFF" , a new piece of philosophical writing by Andrew Hill. I played the joint leading lady role of Olivia Peterson the wife of a successful screen writer based in New York, who gets involved in a love triangle.

April 2008 - Played 'Nurse Grice' a rather harsh orderly in a mental institution - in Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'. Had to adopt a 'cockney twang' for the role.

February 2008 - assumed various roles (including a space alien) in the comedy musical 'Suburban Spaceman' by Kirsty Eyre. Alot of singing, dancing , acting and doing voiceover work.

Interests & Hobbies

My hobbies include keep fit, travelling, cooking, watching sci-fi/horror films,enjoy singing/dancing, belly dancing,listening to jazz, R&B, soul music. As I enjoy singing and dancing I am particularly interested in musicals.

Miscellaneous Information

I am an active member of the community and have done various stints of voluntary work including working with the homeless and the elderly.

I have an administrative office background and am a highly organised individual who enjoys a challenge.
