Experience:

I studied at canterbury College, in Performing Arts. When i left i ended up completeing a degree in Theatre Practise.

In my first year i did a 1st diploma in Performing Arts, where i looked at diffrent Genres in the Theatre world, and perfomed in short plays which linked to the diffrent genres.

i then went on to do a B- TEC National in Performing Arts this was when i performed in a Play which was opened to the public. the play was the Wizard of Oz, i was a Munchkin in Munchkin City it was'nt a great role but it was a good starting position.

I then went on to Complete a HND in Theatre Studies where i performed in a very Controversial Play Called "Maret Sade" which was a play set in a mental asylum during the French Revolution, i played a singing prostitue with Schizophrenia it was very strenouse but rewarding. the play was a great sucess and we toured it to France at a University. We were given excellent reviews.

In my 2nd year of my HND i performed in a play Called the "Trial" by Franz Kafka, where i played one of the lead roles, it was in the Genre of Absurdim and it was great to perform in such a diffrent style using diffrent techniques, it really pushed the boundaries. Again we toured it to France and again we got excellent reviews.

In my last year of my Degree i performed in one last play called "The House of Bernarda Alba" by Federico García Lorca, it was a hard hitting play set in Spain, and i played one of the lead roles Poncia. We were given an excellent opportunity by being able to perform it at the Fringe Festival in Edinbourgh, we performed 4 times a day for 4 days it was exhausting but rewarding, i was given an excellent review on my performance in the Scottish Herald. it was something to be proud of and i loved it.

I performed in a successful 9 piece Band for two years. the Band was called the Interceptors, based in Ramsgate their genre was Soul Motown, 70s pop. We Travelled around England and performed at holiday parks, weddings and funtions. the pay was little but the experience was worth it. i was the lead female singer in the band. be got a really good break when a high influencial person asked us to perform in France for a high profile wedding. it was amazing.

However touring so much took its toll on the family as it was every weekend and evenings after work, and my little girl who was 7 at the time really needed me around and as the band needed full commitment i could not commit.
