About Me

My name is Nick Miller, I started getting involved in television during University where I developed my skills both behind and in front of the camera. I gained recognition winning Best Broadcaster and best Onscreen Male at last years National student Tv awards and a European Film award for an EU commissioned film that I wrote and acted in.
Since leaving University have I have utilised my vibrant, creative personality and developed my on screen persona. I have covered a variety of events such as Edinburgh Fringe festival and BFI London film festival as well as interviewing the cast of Hollyoaks and various corporate work.
Aside from my Television work I am a keen illustrator and writer, I write my own scripts and have just finished my first poetry and illustration book called 'Nothing Perfect'.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

I have had experience producing and presenting a wide variety of productions from news to entertainment.
These include festivals such as the London BFI film festival 2009 and 2010, Edinburgh Fringe festival 2009 and Beachbreak Live 2008.
I have experience interviewing celebrities and musicians for Little House Tv and LSTV including the cast of Hollyoaks, Liam Neeson, Ryan Philippe and Anna Kendrick.

Qualifications & Training

Completed course at the Institute of Investigative Journalism in 2008.

Relevant Skills

I am competant with using editing software including Final Cut Pro, Avid and Adobe Premier.
Have extensive experience with Sony Z1 an A1 cameras.

Interests & Hobbies

I am a keen illustrator and poet recently finishing my first book ‘Nothing Perfect’ as well as a variety of comedy scripts for television. I thoroughly enjoy literature with my main interest in comedy poetry such as Spike Milligan, Peter Gale and Hovis Presley who are inspirations for my own work.

I love to keep myself active and enjoy playing sports as often as possible including tennis and football. I have represented my country in the under19s England ultimate Frisbee team in 2007 performing to a very high standard.
