About Me

just a small town girl looking to make it in the big bad city.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

PACE Youth Theatre: I joined this company when I was 6 years old, progressing through workshop groups in order to reach the main Theatre School. As I progressed I was taught acting techniques, & studied the work of many dramatists. I was also encouraged to train myself physically, undergoing dance & singing lessons which helped the musical theatre aspect of the company. Much of the work I did with PACE was self devised, but I was scouted for a show called ‘The 7 Deadly Sins,’ which was performed at The Paisley Arts Centre. I also performed in the Paisley Arts Centre Pantomime ‘Babes in the Wood,’ ‘The Y Factor’ at the SECC, various ‘Sma’ Shot’ shows in Paisley & the ‘Aids Awareness’ show in Greenock. I also took part in the educational films for NHS Dumfries and Galloway ’Take a Drink’ & ‘Deal with it,’ highlighting growing up & mental health issues. I left PACE when I was scouted for the RSAMD cultural show, where a small group of Scottish teenagers formed a cast with Nepalese teenagers & performed a contemporary performance to a large audience.

The Citizens Theatre: I was invited to join the Citizens Young Company by the director Neil Packham, after playing the lead in the summer show ‘Handle with Care.’ Since Summer 2008, I have acted as extras in two amateur films: ‘Point & Shoot,’ & ‘The Life & Times of Michael K.’ I also auditioned successfully for three main house shows: ‘Reflections on the River, (November 2008), ‘Citizen Y’ (April 2009) & Lend Me Your Ears (October 2009). I am about to go into rehearsals for ‘The Grapes of Wrath,’ which will be performed on the main stage in 2010.

Fast Romance (2010): I appeared as an extra in this Scottish independent film, directed by Carter Ferguson, filming during August 2009 in Club 29 on Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow.

Always Pot Kettle Black: I was involved in a fashion photo shoot at Glasgow Queen Street Station for this online blog entitled ‘The Glasgow Years’ (6/10/2008).

Promotional & Representative Work: I worked for Cube (Queen Street Glasgow) handing out flyers most weekends during Summer 2007. I also covered PR shifts for ‘The Bier Halle’ on Sauchiehall Street during Summer 2009. I began working for ‘Bitch Promotions’ in September 2009 & do evening shifts promoting club nights & DJ sets, as well as attending the promotional nights. I also work for Bamboo nightclub every Tuesday evening, promoting Tetris.
