Female voice-over actor required for a lyrical short fiction film about romance in which voice-over verse is used to underscore the on-screen images rather than straight dialogue. The character for which the VO is required is referred to in the script as simply Young Woman (other VO characters are: Young Man, Storyteller, Priest).

Voice age for Young Woman: 33.

Accent: GENERAL/NEUTRAL AMERICAN.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE HER OWN HOME STUDIO EQUIPMENT.

I am looking for a VO talent with a drama background (as opposed to a VO artist who usually only does VOs for commercials and corporate videos and narration for documentaries) so that the lines can be ACTED in the same way as the lines in a radio play are acted.

Voice: Well spoken, warm, lyrical, poetic, romantic, upbeat and, where needed, poignant.

The film, which will be made by the UK’s multi-award-winning Encore Films, will go into production in early August. Encore’s 2016 film, “I’ll Walk With God”, a musical, has so far won more than 20 international awards including Best International Musical Drama at the Texas Ultimate Shorts Festival (USA), Best Foreign Musical at the Wendy’s Shorts Awards Film Festival (USA), Best Short Film at the Christian Film Festival in Virginia (USA), and Best Short Film Under 40 Minutes award at the Near Nazareth International Film Festival in Israel.
