Details:

NO DOGS is a short film being produced by undergraduate students studying Television and Film Production at The University of Portsmouth. The film is for dissertation submission and for entry into national and international film festivals.

We are in need of extras (both speaking and non-speaking) to help bring the 1950s to life in the film. Both females and males of all ages are needed for a shoot running between the 7th and 11th March.

NO DOGS is a short film set in England, 1951. Michael, a young Irish man, has emigrated in search of a better life but struggles to find somewhere to stay. Fabricated stereotypes prevail him, as he discovers signs displaying 'No Blacks, No Dogs, No Irish' at boarding houses. Elsie, a Jamaican nurse struggles with prejudice from patients and staff alike, and a lonely dog searches for a loving home.
