THEATRINO is EDUCO'S Theatre In Education drama programme, in collaboration with ACLE, which is a non-profit organisation endorsed by the Italian Ministry of Education, operating successfully for over 30 years. The company promotes a student based teaching method and was the first in Italy to use drama to teach English to children through Theatre In Education (T.I.E.) with our touring programme, THEATRINO. We are looking for young, enthusiastic actors with T.I.E. experience to tour Italian schools presenting interactive English language shows supported by workshops. Touring in groups of four, actors will perform English shows and co-ordinate class workshops for particular age groups. THEATRINO is now in its 23rd year presenting interactive English Language shows supported by workshops.

We are selecting 30 young, energetic performers with Theatre in Education experience and who love working with children to form 8 groups to tour across Italy. The entire THEATRINO repertoire (performed across the four tours) consists of 10 fairytales, 10 sketches, a musical workshop, graded drama-based language workshops and 3 ‘Pop Music and Culture’ workshops for various age groups. There are four different tours that cover this repertoire:
• the Standard Tour
• the Storytelling Workshop Tour
• the Sketch and Workshop Tour
• the Pop Music and Culture Tour

This is an exciting opportunity for performers with a love for T.I.E. and have a passion for working with children. Knowledge of the Italian language is not necessary.

Auditions are by invitation and will be held in London, UK on Friday 9th October.
All actors must be available from Friday 8th January- Saturday 4th June 2016 (minimum). A return flight London to Nice (our closest airport) and subsequent onward travel to Sanremo is organised for you. For those unable to take this flight, we will contribute up to ��50 towards the cost of arriving in the country. Then whilst here, all accommodation, car, petrol, car insurance and work insurance is covered.The wage for new Theatrino actors whilst on tour is ��250 per week (paid monthly).
