Wolf Girl is a live action fan film inspired by the Studio Ghibli masterpiece Princess Mononoke. It is a modern-day fairytale and a glimpse of the world today if the events of Princess Mononoke were real human history.
The project has attracted international attention, from South America to Japan as well as a team of passionate industry professionals, all volunteering their time. This film is not for profit: made by fans, for fans.

The team have already produced a concept trailer, where we experimented with some of our initial ideas, styles and visual FX. This trailer has now been viewed over 300,000 times on Youtube and shared across the globe.

238 backers successfully funded Wolf Girl via Kickstarter and this exciting short film is now in preproduction in the UK. Wolf Girl is being made for an international audience, accessible to fans and newcomers alike, in any language.

THE ROLE:
We are looking for an East Asian actor, ideally Japanese, 18-24 years.

This is an all-new character: a contemporary reflection of the character "Ashitaka” from Princess Mononoke- the youthful, would-be hero, if not for his struggles with anger.

This role requires a subtle performance but a compelling physical presence. There is no spoken dialogue. Will need to portray a wide range of emotions.

Must be active and physically fit and MUST be able to ride a bike, ideally BMX.
