Requirements:

Looking for memorable young male actor with likeable presence for a one-location feature thriller set in space (think "Buried" or "Locke")

Team player. Discipline for line-learning and theatre experience essential. Feature experience not essential.

Additionally, due to the challenges of portraying zero gravity, we are looking for someone with very short hair or willing to get it cut for the film. This is a must.

Please Note: due to the nature of the location access to a smoking area is sadly restricted during filming, so please apply only if you\'re happy to NOT smoke for a few hours!

The Character:

Marcus Tyco, young man son of a space-mining mogul. A life-long disappointment, he will seize the opportunity destiny has given him to meet his father\'s high expectations.

We're filming on and off around April, with a couple of breaks in between including Easter. We will be filming nights and expect it to take 4 to 5 weeks altogether. The shoot will take place close to Manchester city center.

You must also be available for rehearsal and meet-ups, dates TBD, before the filming date.

You will receive: reel material (no spoilers), film and IMDB credit, travel expenses and food on set.

Do refrain from sending generic cover letters, we won\'t read those. Also, if you have a base around our designated area and that is not clear from your application, do mention it. Note that those applying from outside the area will not be taken into account as the production is not providing long distance travel or accommodation.

Auditions will take place in Manchester at the end of February. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted the week before with details.

The Company:

We are an independent but ambitious Manchester-based production company with a strong passion for quality storytelling and high production values.

This is a micro budget, Kickstarter-funded project that has come to fruition with a lot of passion and determination. We are filming on a fully built set and using old school practical effects and minimal greenscreen. We are looking for a new team member to join the small production team, who shares the same love for the craft and dedication as we do.
