Details:

Four volunteer actors needed for scratch performance on 18th March in Oxford.

I am an emerging playwright with a script in development. The aim of this evening will be to get audience feedback in order to develop the piece.

Please look at the character breakdown and if you roughly fit the description get in touch. Roles will be cast on initial suitability (there will not be any auditions).

I also have just been programmed to do The Accidental Festival in Camden, London so there is an opportunity to take part in this performance too (22nd May).

Brief Synopsis

'Seven O'Clock' is a play that addresses self-control, growing up and vulnerability. Kara, a troubled teenager and Nick, a struggling adult are different at first sight. But when Nick finds Kara in his flat, a confrontation gradually reveals both have lost control in their own lonely ways. The question is whether this realisation will change anything.

Character Breakdown

Nick – Male, mid 20s, ungainly with thick, dark hair, Sam's love interest. He speaks in
a Welsh accent and is impractical and passionate.

Sam – Male, mid 20s, Nick's love interest, attractive with a perceptive disposition. He
speaks in a Estuary English accent. Stolid on the surface but highly sensitive
underneath.

Kara – Female, 17, speaks in Estuary English with a 'for show' ghetto accent, Emily's
best friend. Manipulative with a troubled mind and looks to gain control in any way
possible.

Emily – Female, 17, speaks in Estuary English, Kara's friend. Naturally naïve and often needs reassurance.
