Orleans House Gallery in Richmond is looking for dynamic, talented, reliable, and fun children's party entertainers for our drama & art parties.

We are looking to expand our pool of party leaders AND party assistants so we are accepting applications from performers with all levels of experience. There is great opportunity for developing your skills, and for experienced performers to be fast tracked to leading! Training is provided via on the job learning, so this is a great opportunity to develop your performance and teaching skills in a lovely environment and as part of a great team, while having fun and using your theatrical talent!
Essential qualities:
- Some form of Drama/Performance experience
- Must love working with children
- A great imagination
- Reliability and punctuality
- Excellent communication skills – with children and their parents
- Happy dressing up in character (you could be pretending to be a Squirrel one day, and a Pirate, Prince/Princess or a Wizarding Professor the next!)
- Feel confident engaging children in fun activities
- Works well as a team / duo
- Happy to travel to the Richmond area
- Weekend availability
Desirable qualities:
- Experience leading/assisting children’s parties
- Some form of teaching experience
- Good art skills would be a bonus
- Experience working in a gallery, museum or other cultural institution would also be helpful
This is a freelance role for ad hoc weekend parties. Assistant host rate: £60 per party. Lead host: £80 per party. Parties are 4 hours work (including set up and pack up) with the party itself being 1.5 hours long.
