'Amber Blue' tells the story of a warm mother and daughter relationship which is played out over the course of an afternoon in a cosy kitchen of a charming house. Blue learns from her mother Amber how to cook a delicious homemade stew. However, the idyllic atmosphere soon boils up only to reveal the truth about their peculiar relationship.

BLUE, 28 yrs old, is a pragmatic young woman. As her wife is pregnant, Blue is determined to learn how to be a good mother. Seeking out Amber's service who one can hire as a mother, she grows too close to her 'fake' mum and the lines between professional and private become blurry.
