Details:

Casting call for Coen Brothers/Polanski influenced feature film, shooting summer 2014.

We are casting for a new film which shoots in July/ August this year in Newcastle. It's a great little psychological noir, which reads like a mixture of David Lynch, Polanski's The Tenant and Barton Fink.

N.B. Casting will be in London in May 2014, the film will be shot in Newcastle in July/ August 2014 (casting is unpaid, £50 per shoot day during filming).

We are currently looking for the following roles:

Brenda (female, 25-35): attractive and emotionally explosive, headstrong with a deeply engrained narcissistic streak. Brenda has booked herself into a hotel for a night of passion with her best friend\'s husband. Increasingly paranoid that her betrayal might be discovered, she begins to perceive that someone is spying on her in the hotel room. Some nudity required. MUST BE ABLE TO DO A CONVINCING AMERICAN ACCENT.

Louisa (female, 20-25): a sexy webcam girl, who provides some comic relief in the film. Must have a strong grasp of ironic comedy. Though this is a very sexy role, there is no nudity required. MUST BE ABLE TO DO A CONVINCING AMERICAN ACCENT.

Mr Salber, Hotel Owner (male 60's or 70's (or older): a crotchety, grumpy old man who manages a hotel. He speaks no more than two or three words of English, and spends his days lounging in the lobby of his hotel, shouting impenetrable orders at his staff and beaming at the hotel guests. Would suit a good physical comic with an expressive face. MUST BE ABLE TO DO A SLAVIC ACCENT.

Sammy, Hotel Handyman (male, 20-35): creepy, mysterious and offbeat but with an intense magnetism, which borders on the sexual. Think Donald Sutherland in Kelly's Heroes. Would suit a good comedic actor- MUST BE ABLE TO DO A SLAVIC ACCENT.

Irina, Hotel Desk Clerk (female, 60's or 70's): courteous to the point of rudeness. Dismissive and nonchalant in the face of guests' needs. Years of working 18 hour days, trapped behind her desk, have rendered her into the receptionist from hell. Speaks English with a strong accent and is not above feigning incomprehension to deflect a request. She might be married to the Hotel Owner, Mr Salber, but it's been so long, neither of them remembers. MUST BE ABLE TO DO A SLAVIC ACCENT.
