I am currently working on a new piece for a show which will be happening mid June. I am inviting long haired male actors aged 16-28 for a screen test. The test is this coming Monday (23rd January) in a film studio in west London (details on application).

A month or so ago I came across ReeceJones87 YouTube channel. ReeceJones87 is in this late teens and speaks eloquently about his experiences of Astral Projection and leaving his body. Each video seems like a scripted monologue. What makes Reece's videos unique is the particularity of the language which he has chosen to describe his experiences. He has a desire to be 'real' to attempt the near impossible by trying to describe a visceral experience of leaving his body By using social media such as YouTube his attempt to be genuine is over powered by the superficial manner in which we consume such media. The importance of an online presence, and the collective anxiety associated with connecting and projecting ourselves to the world has resulted in a dislocation of body from self and identity. Astral Projection other sudo-spirtual methods such as lucid dreaming, become analogies in themselves of a general social dislocation of flesh from identity and a desire to confess, parade and display our vulnerability to a largely anonymous collective.
