Through completing a 3 year degree at Portsmouth University in Media Studies & Entertainment Technology (BA) in June 2009, and my experiences so far in media production, I am confident that I have what it takes to make it in this industry. I completed my degree with the intent to eventually find work in a production company, initially as a runner or production assistant, to get a feel of working in the industry, the to work my way up into production management. I hope to explore the production environment through extra work and spending as much time on set, location, or in a studio as possible

For a long time I have wanted to be part of and contribute to the production process. I am eager to learn and expand on my experiences and develop my skills and am enthusiastic, confident and hardworking

Having taken a gap year working in France, I went on to develop my skills through various volentuary roles; as a production assisant for Bristol based production company ‘Scubaboy’ on a short charity film about illegal sex trade, and running on a few short projects.

I then went on to find work as a film and photographic assistant at a power toold company, ‘Powerbox International’ where as well as office admin, my job was split into two primary roles.

As a film assistant I would prepare the shoot, set, script, and camera for instructional films and promotional shorts, I would film and record the voiceovers for each film, making changes to the script throught the process. The job also gave me the opportunity to film on location, such as at the ‘Power Tool Drag Racing’ event, and to interview British Tour Car Champion and ‘Fifth Gear’ presenter Jason Plato, and ‘Gadget Show’ presenter Jason Bradbury.

I am confident and outgoing and extremely personable and would love to take part in any productions possible, I have previously been an extra in a Mcfly music video for ‘Star Girl’, and an extra in the opening scenes of Skins series 4 episode 1.
